Woods was an experiment in using 3d sound and VR to crate space of virtual isolation. While a person was in this space they would hear the sound coming from all around, some of which was pleasant like wind or birds, others were not so pleasant like footsteps and whispering.  This idea came from current events and the concept of what does it mean to be isolated, and is it always bad?

animated sound emitters are scattered throughout the player's space and collide with them, creating a Doppler effect, making the sound get louder and quite depending on the distance to the sound.
